Project Description
The property at 48 Asylum Road was originally built in the 1850s as part of a traditional brick-built terrace of houses. Over time, the space developed into a shop on the ground floor, with the upper floors consisting of flats. Our client acquired the property and had existing planning permission to convert the building into three flats. These changes include a new third floor, a modern rear extension, and green roof areas to bring some natural details back into this townhouse plot. Carnegie Architecture was appointed to provide technical construction drawings, secure building regulations approval, and oversee the construction process from a knowledgeable designer and construction perspective.
